Why Amazon Gift Registry Is Our Top Choice

Amazon Gift Registry

Amazon. The supergiant of online retailers has come a long way over the past few years. I never would have thought you could actually register for pretty much any significant life event requiring a registry with ease. So, the big question is, “Should you sign up for Amazon’s registry service?”

Absolutely! We are avid Amazonians, and we love it! Not sure if that is even a word, but I am making it one.

Not only is it free to sign up, but you can offer those purchasing gifts amazing prices and at the same time, get everything you are looking for. It is simple, quick, and hassle free.

New to Amazon?

If you are, I’ll be honest, I am a little surprised. I am sure you have at one point in time browsed Amazon for something. After all, Amazon is the largest online retailer in today’s day in age. You cannot search a specific item on any major search engine without SEO pulling Amazon products top recommended results.

Could Amazoning Become An Addiction?

Quite possibly, yes. You can become a serious lover of Amazon, obsessive to the point like my husband. I am pretty sure 98% of everything purchased by him comes from Amazon. When you discover the benefits of PRIME membership, including 2-day FREE Shipping and many other perks, it is easy to fall into the deep black hole of Amazon addicts.

Needless to say, you get the point that Amazon has a huge selection of products. It is mainly this fact that makes them a fantastic company to register for your online registry.

What’s the Catch?

As with anything there are going to be some pros and cons. However, in my opinion, Amazon perks way outweigh the cons any day. This is exactly why we are choosing Amazon registry for our housewarming/weddinghis would also be a good choice for you to take advantage of yourself.

The 5 Reasons You should Choose Amazon Registry Services:

  1. World’s Largest Selection: It is no new news that Amazon offers everything under the sun. They even state themselves as having the world's largest online selection. You need it, Amazon has it. Most any brand and product ever desired is accessible by simply searching this mega store.

  2. Universal Registry: Let’s say you head on over to Amazon and search for something and it doesn’t end up populating on the site. You can choose to download and install the universal registry button offered on Amazon. You basically install the button on your internet browser as an extension, then when visiting your popular sites you can add your favorite products to your registry and have them all in one place.

  3. Free Shipping: Who doesn’t love FREE Shipping? All wedding gifts ordered from Amazon registries are eligible for free two-day shipping for Amazon Prime member and free shipping on eligible items that are over $49 for non members. Seeing how the average wedding gift is $50 for distant friends and family, and $75-$150 for dear friends and relatives, it looks like most of your guests will qualify for free shipping!

  4. Thank-you Tracking:  Keep track of all your buyer’s purchases and details. You will have to maintain your own registry list, obviously. Some of your rebel friends and family choose to go off course and buy things not listed on your personal registry. It however is a great reference point when planning to send Thank You cards to those who purchased and sent gifts.

  5. Free Returns for 180 Days: Amazon kindly extends their normal 30-day return policy to 180-days for any item fulfilled by Amazon purchased off your registry.
